Sophie Reynolds
Senior Researcher, Public and Social Innovation, Nesta
Sophie Reynolds works across a number of Nesta’s public services innovation programmes, as a Senior Researcher in Nesta’s Policy and Research unit. She leads on Lab Notes – a monthly digest bringing together interesting tools and news from public sector innovators around the world.
Sophie also works on TRANSITION, an EU-funded research project, that seeks to learn and share best practice in social innovation incubation around Europe, and has helped lead Nesta's research on the Collaborative Economy. At Nesta, Sophie has contributed to and edited a number of research publications such as i-teams, Digital Social Innovation, and Making Sense of the UK’s Collaborative Economy. Previously, Sophie worked in the Science Gallery in Dublin, as an English and Social Studies Teacher in Muscat, Oman, and as an Attendance Coach at Southwark College.
In addition to her BA in English, Media and Cultural Studies, she holds an LLM in Law and Social Justice from Birkbeck College, University of London, where her dissertation, ‘The Meitheal and Modernity: A Retrospective Look to the Future’ was awarded Best Dissertation Mark in the Postgraduate School of Law.
